maki-plugins software package provides D-Bus-based IRC suite (daemon plugins), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install maki-plugins
maki-plugins is installed in your system.
Make ensure the maki-plugins package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep maki-plugins *
You will get with maki-plugins package name, version, architecture and description in a table
